How to Upload Receipts or Invoices to an Expense

Keep a complete audit trail by uploading supporting documents to your expenses

To maintain organized and accurate records, you can attach relevant documentation such as receipts, supplier invoices, or scanned contracts directly to each expense. This helps ensure transparency and traceability in your expense management process.

Steps to Attach Receipts or Invoices to a Expense

You can attach supporting documents, such as receipts or invoices, to your expenses for future reference and easier record keeping.

Navigate to the Expenses Page

  1. From the top navigation bar, click More.

  2. Hover over Spend.

  3. Select Expenses.

You'll be redirected to the Expenses page, where you can view all your recorded bills.

Ways to Attach a File

There are three ways to attach a file to a bill.

Option 1: While Creating a New Expense

When creating a new expense:

  1. Complete the expense details.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the form.

  3. Under Attach File, click Select File or drag and drop your document.

  4. Choose the file you want to upload.

  5. Save the expense.

Option 2: Edit an Existing Expense

If the expense has already been created:

  1. Locate the expense in the expenses table.

  2. Click the three-dot (⋮) menu beside the expense.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the form.

  5. Under Attach File, upload the required document.

  6. Click Save to update the expense.

Supported File Types

You can upload the following file formats:

  • PDF (.pdf)

  • Images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png)

  • Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx)

  • CSV (.csv)

Tip: Use descriptive file names (for example, Rent_Jan2025_Receipt.pdf or Office_Supplies_Invoice_001.pdf) to make your documents easier to identify later.
