Adam, your AI accountant, simplifies the process of adding inventory items by letting you describe them in your own words. Instead of manually filling out fields, all you need to do is provide a clear prompt, and Adam will take care of the rest.
Follow these steps to add inventory items using prompts:
Log in, then click More in the top navigation.
From the dropdown, hover over Inventory, then select Items from the flyout menu.
On the Inventory items page, click Create Inventory at the top right.
From the dropdown, select Ask Adam.
5. Enter Your Item Description
A modal will appear prompting you to describe the item(s). Simply type your inventory information in a natural language format.
Example Prompt:
"Create an inventory item named 3D Bulb with a cost price of $200, a selling price of $400, an opening stock quantity of 50 units, an opening cost per unit of $200, and an opening stock date of July 1, 2026."
6. Send the Prompt
After typing your description, click the Submit button.
7. Adam Processes the Prompt
Adam will read your prompt, extract the relevant details, and automatically create the inventory item(s) based on the description you provided.
8. Check Your Inventory Table
Once the prompt is processed, the item(s) will be added to your Inventory items table. You can review them to ensure everything was correctly recorded, name, SKU, cost price, selling price, and opening stock.
