Sometimes you may need to correct an amount, change a vendor name, change the payment method, or update the category (COA) tied to an expense. With inline editing, you can easily make changes right from the Expenses Table without navigating away.
Steps to Edit an Expense Record:
An expense can be edited in two ways:
Inline edit: In the Expenses Table, click directly on a field, such as the Total Amount cell or the Balance cell, to open it for editing. Each field on the table is editable, and clicking it opens the relevant details for update, including the expense/liability account.
Menu edit: Click the three-dot action menu (⋮) at the start of the expense row, then select Edit from the menu.
Deleting an Expense
Single expense: Click the three-dot action menu (⋮), then select Delete.
Multiple expenses: Select the checkbox next to each bill you wish to delete, then click the red Delete (X) button at the top of the table. The button label indicates the total number of selected bills.
Duplicating, Publishing, and Reverting to Draft
Duplicate: Click the three-dot action menu (⋮), then select Duplicate to instantly create a copy of the bill.
Publish a draft: For expenses currently showing a Draft status, click the three-dot action menu (⋮) and select Publish to move the bill out of draft.
Revert to draft: For published expenses, click the three-dot action menu (⋮) and select Revert to draft to transition the expense back to draft status.
